The first edition of my fantasy football sleeper picks were mildly successful (how fitting), so it's time to get my fortune teller on and predict who's going to overachieve in Week 4. I had some solid choices (Andy Dalton, Darren Sproles, Lance Dunbar), but I also had some pretty terrible ones (Jameis Winston and Mychal Rivera). However, a wise man once told me that one must "risk it to get the biscuit." Picking the right sleepers for your lineups (especially daily leagues) is vital for your fantasy success.
I will once again be using the ESPN Weekly Rankings as a reference for my picks. I will be picking less players because anybody can pick a sleeper if they pick a group of 12 guys (like me last week). I'm gonna be shrinking my room for error, and prove my fantasy prowess once and for all. Let's get this started.
Sam Bradford - Ranked #16 for QBs
The 1-2 Eagles heads to Washington in Week 4 lined up to face a pretty solid defensive unit. Their defense is ranked #3 against RBs and #9 against QBs thus far this season. However, it is important to note that they have yet to face a very good quarterback (not saying Bradford is). With their stout run defense, I think the Eagles do a reverse of what they did last week against the Jets and opt to throw more often in this contest especially since DeAngelo Hall is out. Bradford had a lot of hype coming into the season, and I think this is the week he shows out. I also benched him in favor of elite QB Joe Flacco already, so there is no doubt he throws for at least 400 yards and 3 TDs.
C.J. Anderson - Ranked #22 for RBs
Anderson, the man responsible for many fantasy titles last season, barely has over 10 total points thus far this season. Poor play by his line and some injuries have slowed him down in 2015, but a matchup against the Vikings this Sunday could be exactly what he needs to get going again. Although the Vikings have been much better against the run since getting torched by Carlos Hyde in Week 1, this is a game the Broncos should get ahead early in. This will favor more running plays and should allow Anderson to get back into his 2014 rhythm.
Mohamed Sanu - Not Ranked for WRs
Mohamed Sanu has a lot of things going for him in his upcoming matchup against the Chiefs. The Chiefs are ranked dead last against defending WRs in fantasy so far this year. AJ Green had the best game of his career last week, so his going to be given A LOT of attention by the KC secondary. Andy Dalton has been clicking on all cylinders thus far this season, and that should continue against vs. KC. Mohamed Sanu was the go-to guy for Dalton last season when AJ Green was out, and I expect him to throw the ball his way often this weekend.
