There you have it folks. My dreams of being a punter in the NFL have been brought to a abrupt end thanks to the malicious Matt Birk. Adding insult to injury, Mr. Birk didn't even spell my last name correctly when shattering my Ken Walter aspirations. It probably wasn't a good idea to say I was a punter in the Canadian Football League for seven years on my application given that this could be disproven with one simple search on Google, but I'll be damned if I didn't give this a shot. The door the the NFL may be closed for now, but this average athlete has dreams. Only time will tell whether these dreams are lived out by being an Olympic Handball player (yes, I have looked into this - Tryouts at Auburn University) or by informing the people of the fact that humor exists when examining mediocre professional athletes. Needless to say, I am excited to get this blog started right before the greatest month of all - April, or better known as Average Baseball Player Month.
